We begin with a kickoff meeting to define scope, budget, timeline, and creative guidelines. When possible, I also schedule an on-site review to capture the nuances of your space and project variables. Afterward, you’ll receive a clear project proposal that outlines scope, deliverables, budget, and next steps, so everyone is aligned from day one.
I dive into research, absorbing info on client, creative guidelines (if available), project and design goals, inspirations, and creative possibilities. A presentation is shared, including at least two different design directions with strategy, mood boards, and pencil sketches with section details. One direction is selected by the client to proceed with design refinement.
The selected concept direction is fully developed. Artwork and features are detailed to include any specialty finishes, colors (paint & PMS), and production specifications. For murals, the concept sketch is fully rendered and color options are provided. A final intent presentation is shared, and client provides feedback ahead of fabrication.
Art and/or graphics are finalized, any subs/vendors are vetted and onboarded, and project schedules are discussed to consider mockups, fabrication, pre-install needs, and installation days + times. For murals, the artwork is prepped for transfer, any equipment rentals are ordered, and installation days & times are finalized. This last step varies significantly per project. After installation, a punch walk ensures our clients are happy with results before the project is officially closed out.
